What can you do

There are a lot of people interested in development issues in Wageningen community. Many of them share the vision and approach of OtherWise. Thanks to these people OtherWise exists and towards them it directs its activities and programmes. If you recognise yourself in our goals, there are many ways in which you can contribute. You can participate in OtherActiuvities at many levels.

 Join our board

 Each year there are places available in the OtherWise board. If you want to be active next to your studies and are interested in development issues, join us. Together with four others WUR students/alumni you will have a chance to develop yourself personally as well as working together in a team!

Become a volunteer

Volunteers are the essence of OtherWise activities – they design and prepare them. There is a chance to learn, develop and contribute to a good cause. Great people come together to help OtherWise. As a volunteer you will have a chance to meet and work together with others sharing the same vision.

Come to our activities

Share your knowledge and opinion with us. Join discussions and debates or just come to watch a film or have a dinner with us. Get to know us and we will be happy to get to know you.

Come up with your own project

We are open for ideas! Are you inspired and want to inspire others? Would you like to organize a debate, a meeting, show a film? Do it with us.

Join Research Mediation Program

If you are a student and want your internship/thesis research to have a real impact and be useful to local communities, do it through the Research Mediation Program.

Develop critical thinking towards development issues

We are happy if our activities make you reflect critically on the issues related to international co-operation, social justice and sustainable development and your role as a researcher, future development worker and citizen. We also know that you don’t need us to do it.
