Volunteers

OtherWise is constantly looking for volunteers for our participatory workshops and the global cafe; both are held on a monthly basis. When volunteers are needed for specific events this will be announced on the website and in the newsletter. Through the research mediation programme thesis and internship opportunities are offered to students. OtherWise moreover offers opportunities for internships within the organization.

Franzisca

Meet Franzisca! A dedicated volunteer, who developed a passion for facilitation and the Research Mediation Program of Otherwise after following a course on facilitating interaction for social Change. She did biology in Nijmegen and went to Wageningen for masters because there was such a bunch of interesting courses and thought it was a ‘necessary evil’ to study people as well, because without them, we can’t conserve nature. The more Franzisca studies people, the more enthusiastic she gets about it. ‘I came to OtherWise because of your call to people to organize a conference and I felt that I needed something more practical’. The conference is not organized (yet?), but you can meet Franzisca during our participatory workshops and related events of the Research Mediation Program!

Meet Eliana!

“I am Eliana Alba, from Bolivia, and I am biologist. She set-up a database for all the books OtherWise has and developed the OtherLibrary! Furthermore, I hope to continue working with the people of OtherWise, by helping them organizing activities.”
